I am a Chartered Physiotherapist (graduating from Bath School of Physiotherapy in 1991) and a Sports Massage Therapist (graduating from NLSSM in 2008).
I opened my practice in 2008 and haven't looked back. It's grown through word of mouth, something I'm very proud of. My business and customers mean a great deal to me, and I attend regular training courses and conferences to improve my skills and keep up-to-date on the latest research.
Until very recently I was a Lead Tutor at NLSSM. I was part of a team teaching Sports Massage Therapy to BTEC Level 5. I have worked with principle Susan Findlay since I graduated and have found teaching with her has enhanced my skills as a therapist. Due to the success of my clinic and having that important work-life balance I have stepped away from teaching for now.
London 2012 was an exciting time as I coordinated a therapy service for 14 national Paralympic teams that stayed in Bedford prior to the games. In just three weeks, myself and 40 volunteers treated around 90 athletes at the clinic. We treated paracyclists, power lifters, and track & field athletes, and it was a joy to watch them go on to perform well at the Paralympic Games.
I travelled the world with the Great Britain Ladies Goalball squad between 2007 and 2010, culminating in European Championship gold in Munich.
And last but not least, I am a mum of three, a wife, and dog owner - and so I know just how difficult it is to get those exercises done - but be assured, I will give you as much help as I can to get the very best from your body.
